NOTES

GAME

ADDED

FIXED

  • Fixed: "Open store" option for the Livonia DLC was stuck after entering the settings menu
  • Focus was lost in the inventory when navigating through the inventory of an infected
  • Ski masks and balaclavas would clip with several pieces of headgear
  • Fixed a server error caused by specific attachment slots
  • Electric appliances would always make plug-in sounds when the user was connecting to the server (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T159441)
  • The sawed-off version of the BK-43 had wrong fire mode names
  • Added a missing bed in the big yellow medical tent
  • Fixed bad collisions in the yellow medical tents
  • A killed chicken couldn't be picked up properly in all cases
  • The fishing hook was not visible on the boonie hat on the ground
  • If a player died while in surrender stance, the death animation was played twice
  • Base building parts could become indestructible under specific circumstances
  • The CR-75 could not be damaged by gunfire

  • Livonia bunkers were missing textures of fallen leaves
  • Fixed a server error related to particles
  • The LE-MAS and sawed-off LE-MAS were missing their sounds for shooting when not chambered in prone stance
  • The ejection cover of the LE-MAS rifle clipped through the gun when chambering a round
  • Slicing rotten pumpkin produced raw pumpkin slices
  • Charcoal tablets were functioning only for a very short time
  • An empty fireplace (with no attachments) would not destroy itself if there was a cargo (now results in dropping items on the ground)

CHANGED

  • Grenades can't be pinned anymore, once the fuse has started
  • Adjusted the thresholds for energy and hydration levels
  • Food now takes longer to process in the stomach
  • Slightly reduced the health damage caused by dehydration and starvation
  • Adjusted weapon fire rates and recoil
  • Added new variants of muzzle flash for more variety
  • Secondary cooking processes were adjusted to not ruin the food in all cases (e.g. boiling already boiled food)
  • Changed the weight of tents to be more realistic
  • Head torches now count as eye-wear so they can be worn with other types of head gear
  • Removed ghillie wrap attachment slot from the sawed-off BK-43
  • It is now possible to craft rags using the shovel or farming hoe
  • Bushes drop more long sticks instead of short sticks
  • Dry bags can now be repaired with the tire repair kit (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T161090)
  • Removed grenade armor and cut protection from the high capacity vest
  • Unconsciousness caused by firearms lasts longer
  • Reduced the inventory size of the carp fillet from 2x3 to 1x3
  • Increased the volume of the LE-MAS reload sounds to make it more audible
  • Adjusted attachment conditions for head gear, glasses, head straps and masks to make equipping more consistent
  • Closed containers won't show their cargo space anymore

CENTRAL ECONOMY

  • Fixed: Infected weren't spawning at the Balota air field and military area
  • Fixed: Position of some loot spawn points on the western helicopter crash site
  • Fixed: Incorrect loot spawn points of Land_HouseBlock_2F1
  • Fixed: Incorrect loot spawn points of Land_House_2W01
  • Fixed: Livonia CE tiers 1 and 2 were mixed together (https://feedback.bistudio.com/T161247)

SERVER

  • Added: cfgweather.xml for configuring weather (documentation on the BI wiki)
  • Added: cfggameplay.json for configuring several gameplay elements (documentation on the BI wiki)
  • Added: cfggameplay.json can define custom object spawners json files to populate the world without the need to use central economy (documentation on the BI wiki)
  • Added: Basic XML errors for invalid XMLs
  • Fixed: Crash fixes for the Linux server build
  • Fixed: Some mission files were not distributed in their lowercase form
  • Changed: Weather init removed from default init.c (now done automatically from c++)
  • Changed: FoodDecay parameter is now multiplier (instead of 0 - 1 toggle), meaning decay can be made faster or slower, 0 still switches it off
  • Tweaked: Linux server now also shuts down on SIGTERM/SIGQUIT in addition to SIGINT

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Flash lights cannot be toggled while attached to a helmet - a fix for this is in internal testing and will be deployed soon
  • A fire barrel might despawn when all attachments are removed

  • Fixed a game crash cause by bad memory handling of particles
  • Flash lights could not be toggled while attached to a helmet
  • Fire barrels could despawn when all attachments were removed
  • L button could not be used on M&K to switch on a head torch
  • Inventory attachment slots were not visible on some items while in hands
  • AUR rifles played the reload sound twice when reloading

SERVER

  • Fixed: Gameplay settings modifiers for stamina (sprintStaminaModifierErc and sprintStaminaModifierCro) were not working correctly
  • Fixed: Incorrect message handling on loot from the dynamic events (causing excessive flooding of logs)

Dear survivors, community managers and devs,

As we all know "DayZ is an unforgiving, authentic...." and that is why we chose and love it.

Introducing ANY directional hit markers / indicators when being hit will change our experience and gameplay for all of us playing on servers which have "UI indicator when being hit" enabled (even if players could disabled it) as indicators will give immediate hint from which direction shot came (no matter of on screen size and time).

Attacked player will cover / hide immediately against shot direction what will result in a long and short distance ambushes / encounters being less effective for ambushing side as survivors will not look around or use weapon sounds (core game mechanic) to pin shot direction. Using gun sound to pin shot direction takes little time and introduces mistake factor (seen it and did it) what gives an advantage for shooter. With directional hit markers that factor will not be an advantage anymore. 

It can take two shots to know shooter position but with directional hit markers will only take one and it will not matter anymore if suppressed or not weapon has been used. Another core element of the game, use of suppressed weapons and suppressors will be affected.

Dozens of official servers, many empty or 'temporary'. Crazy that they don't try to vary them a bit, with different features on/off in a few of them. At least they'll quickly find out what the players prefer and if reception is evenly mixed then it's all the better for some choice...

Toggle VOIP ON/OFF working on Xbox?

Still crashing on Xbox Series X and still no toggle VOIP option... Wow well done devs!

Can you please take some time and release an update just reworking or fixing the vehicles. Its the biggest thing for Console Dayz that we want changed. Its so inconvenient and i dont think lagging or the car falling through the earth is very realistic.

I'm looking forward to seeing vehicles being a bigger part of this game. I don't know how possible it is with such a huge game and so many factors, but it'd be so freakin' sick. I had a lot of fun today. Had a sort of "No Country for Old Men" moment at NWAF and came out of it with a few bullet holes and NVGs, so it was worth it. Lol.

Still not sure about directional markers. I know this is one of things you guys want feedback on, so my feedback is mixed. The gunplay this patch seems sooo good. I WOULD like it much more if it was just one side of the screen being shaded when you're hit from that direction, a more general idea thing. Again, I've never been shot so I don't know if you can usually tell from where you're hit.

The zombies have no chill this patch and I love it, though I would like larger numbers, but the zombies are seriously challenging and they seem to use teamwork, where one tries to loop around while the other attacks from the front. They've come so far since 2015 when I started. Food has seemed scarce and it felt like a genuine concern to find something to hunt, which also made for a good adventure.

I may be mistaken, but on 3pp servers the hit marker, which is just awful, is present. But, I don’t recall seeing it in 1pp server... I will double check this.

edit: it is on 1pp! How unfortunate. I think the devs pushed it through for more general feedback from the community, it may (hopefully) disappear in 1.16 patch.

I don’t like that it is red; that color should be reserved for a bleed. The hit marker should be the shock vignette because it is indicating pain. It should only indicate front, back, or sides (the four edges of the screen). It could turn red when you suffer a cut/wound.

Then you shouldn't pass out from shock, seeing as most of the time they knock you out you are totally unscathed when you come round

@lemmac My camel, the shock I feel is overdone. It was better before they changed it a few versions ago. The infected used to slaughter you without reprieve, now it’s lame.

I think the zombies movements in this patch are really good, and their behavior heavily impacts pvp encounters, but I agree that they should kill downed players or at least do heavier base damage to go along with the shock. I feel a lot of people wouldn't agree with that though.

I like the idea of a hit indicator, now people can't be invisible shooters. Besides that, if you can't tell a hit in the front from a hit in the back, it's not realistic at all, or I feel sorry for your partner. Speaking of "realism", in the game I can eat raw steaks, guts, fat, to get full, just straight butcher 3 cows in a field eat all of it and go full from the start as a fresh spawn. But if I eat a little bit of burned meat I'll puke myself to death, even with all medicines. 🙄

Hi. Please make the game more authentic by removing the central loot economy. Have one saved state per server. It doesn't make sense that you can server jump and spawn on a "different" Cherno/Livonia with your gear. It will force players more inland, more bases, clans etc. And remove things players struggle with today like spawn killings, lag from different continent servers when joining up with other clans player different time zones, loot "glitches" server jump to rify etc.

the game still crashes after 1 hour or so of playing on xbox. an old bug that hasn't been fixed and makes people give up playing. the game just crashes (freezes and gives an audible error) and closes and goes back to the xbox menu. This error happens a lot on my S series and with friends who play on the X series too, even on xbox one s

Open a ticket at the BI feedback website: https://feedback.bistudio.com/project/view/31/ and tell your friends to post and leave some feedback there! More people = better!

But to be honest it seems like that the developers don't care much about Xbox/console related issues, so don't expect any acknowledgment or feedback...

completely agree this has been a problem on console forever it really needs sorti out. also I'd like sun Ray shafts back as well on console, idgaf about volumetric clouds but I'm sick of seeing this horrendous looking sun.

please can you do this for Xbox 
 

1: Can you make more in depth stuff to medical stuff like 15% chance of bullet breaking inside of a person that can cause bleeding over time if the bullet has not been removed by tweezers or pliers and more medic clothing like a medic skin for plate carrier and helmet.

2: seasons can you add seasons so when it’s summer you won’t get hypothermia in T-shirts and shorts and snow in winter where you can add more snow/ winter clothing.

3:trucks that can carry people in the back

4:boats even if it’s a rowing boat on the shore or even a kayak

5:sort out the lag on Xbox 

6:concrete for building burlap sac and cement mix and c4 explosives or dynamite that can destroy concrete 

devs I know these are hard stuff to create but I play on custom servers so I meet a lot of people and they complain a lot about these things that would revolutionise this amazing game that I love

This is a hardware issue.  Not a code issue. Of course this happens on Playstation 4.  This doesn't happen on high end PCs that are running on the highest settings.  The solution is to throw your PS4 in the garbage.  Seems unreasonable to update the program for antiquated hardware.  And creating a whole new game for various platforms is not practical.
